Published: MEA

UAE: Biamp Systems will provide a pair of sessions to the educational line up for InfoComm MEA taking place in Dubai. On 20th October from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, the company will present UC&C and Huddle Spaces, while The Exploration of Networked Audio Protocols: AVB, CobraNet & Dante will take place on 21st October from 11.30am to 12.30pm. Both presentations will be held in training room one.
In the UC&C and Huddle Spaces session, Dave Nazir, Biamp regional manager, Middle East and Africa will outline the audio solutions, video hardware, design considerations, and integration best practices behind huddle room installations.
‘As A/V solutions are increasingly integrating with IT infrastructures, huddle rooms are becoming a growing asset in today’s global team environments,’ shared Mr Nazir. ‘By examining what makes a huddle room successful, we examine how meeting participants can create a seamless communication experience with both high-quality audio and video.’
The Exploration of Networked Audio Protocols: AVB, CobraNet & Dante session will see Biamp EMEIA applications engineering manager, Martin Bonsoir, outline the specific features and functions of AVB, CobraNet and Dante protocols. He will discuss the differentiating time mechanism, IP routing of media over mixed networks, and how these protocols are not mutually exclusive.
‘The pro A/V industry is on the cusp of an evolution,’ said Mr Bonsoir. ‘With networks becoming more integrated to include everything from A/V capabilities to smart building systems, success demands a keen understanding of the facts behind the available protocols. System designers and integrators need to be able to keep an eye to the future of technology during its adoption phase, while still focusing on what customers need today.’
