BIG invests in monitors

OMAN: The rental division of Muscat-based Business International Group has added to its inventory with the purchase of 12 15-inch EAW Micro Wedge monitors. The purchase came after an evaluation of several brands to supply a new monitoring solution.
‘We looked at a number of monitors and we found the Micro Wedge to be really good compared to the others sound-wise and for durability,’ recalled Vijay Gonsalves A/V production manager for the company. ‘Plus it was on every rider that came to us. So looking at all the angles, we decided it was the best thing to invest in.’
The company has already taken delivery of the new cabinets, and Mr Gonsalves is clearly very happy with the purchase. ‘A lot of people are moving to in-ear monitors, but anyone who goes to stage monitors wants something that sounds good, and they want something where there is no colouration,’ he stated. ‘With the EAW Micro Wedge we really found fantastic results.’
