Carl Jacobson joins PreSonus

WORLD: Industry veteranCarl Jacobson has joined PreSonus in the newly created position of director of business development and strategic marketing.

In this new role, Mr Jacobson will be responsible for forging strategic business relationships and driving co-marketing initiatives with key music and technology providers.

To date in his career, Mr Jacobson has been vice president of marketing for the fan-commerce and promotion platform for musicians Nimbit, and vice president of marketing for music software and hardware providers Cakewalk. In the 1990s, he worked for A&M and New World Records, and launched Soundsbig.com, the internet’s first online radio broadcasting network.

Mr Jacobson has been responsible for successful co-marketing campaigns featuring Intel, Microsoft, HP, Dell, and many others in positioning their products for the music marketplace. He is also a regular public speaker on music technology and music business. 

Mr Jacobson will take up his new role with PreSonus on July 2nd 2012.
