CCG invests in DiGiCo D5 Live FMX

QATAR: Doha-based event production and sound and light rental company Creative Communication Group (CCG) has added a DiGiCo D5 Live FMX audio console package and 30 Neumann microphones to its inventory.
The D5 Live FMX package consists of two separate work surfaces each with their own stage racks linked through an optical connection. The desks feature the capacity to handle up to 112 channels of audio on stage for very large productions, or the option to have the same units doing monitors and FOH duties at 56 channels each.
For CCG, the system will see use primarily with large orchestral events. ‘With the growing market for orchestral performances in Qatar, and with our vast experience in this field, it became obvious that this is the area to invest in,’ explained managing director Jalal Dudin. ‘The DiGiCos have stellar sound and reliability coupled with a user friendly workflow. The flexibility of this setup and our familiarity with DiGiCos were the main selling points for us.’
The events company has also invested in 30 assorted Neumann condensers to add to its selection of microphones from DPA. ‘This gives us a very strong package for orchestral live sound, the premium microphones and the ability of the FMX package to handle the large number of inputs puts us at the fore of this market in Qatar,’ added technical director Philip Venter.
