CGA:Live launched

WORLD: CGA Strategy has launched CGA:Live, a new division established to track and evaluate technology usage within the live concert and touring industry.

CGA:Live benefits from CGA Strategy’s research and consultancy background within the late night and hospitality industry and the live industry know-how of Total Production International magazine, the TPi Awards, the UK Festival Awards and the European Festival Awards.

CGA:Live’s product portfolio will include an online, subscription-based, Production Hub; a production handbook; and a stock re-sale guide. The central service, The Channel Feed, will, in the first instance, track usage of audio, video and lighting technologies across four market segments; 1,000+ capacity venues, arenas, stadia and festivals. Joel Perry will lead the new division of CGA Strategy as CGA:Live commercial director.

‘These are exciting times as we develop and introduce a suite of products and services, each designed to meet a clear need in the sector,’ said Mr Perry. ‘I am particularly excited about The Channel Feed which will draw upon its strength of resource and positioning to provide the live production industry with its first, fully independent, usage tracker and production audit.’

‘It is energising to move into a new, yet associated arena armed with CGA’s research rigour and value added approach, built up over the last 20 years,’ added Jon Collins, chief executive of CGA Strategy. ‘We feel that our expertise is perfectly suited to measure this exciting and dynamic market place.’

A key element of CGA:Live’s service will be the rolling Perception Audit.  This will provide opportunities for industry professionals to air their views, thoughts and concerns. The first wave of this activity is currently under way with selected individuals being invited to participate.
