CGC hosts data storage seminar

QATAR: Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC), and StorIT Distribution jointly organised a seminar titled ‘Cloud Transform IT’ in Doha recently. The purpose was to share the latest information on simplifying IT infrastructure to reduce management complexities.
The seminar enabled various enterprises to explore strategies and solutions for simplifying IT with virtualisation and cloud computing technologies. ‘The aim was to let users discover how cloud transforms IT and how you can transform yours with EMC’s solutions to achieve higher efficiency and agility while lowering costs,’ said Anil Mahajan, chief operating officer at CGC.
Dany El Khoury, channel sales manager, Hashin Kabeer and Ravi Baldev, system engineers from EMC, were present to respond to the participants’ queries on how to build, deploy and manage the IT infrastructure. They also explained on integrating and improving physical and virtual backup of user’s data, its storage and protection.
