Christie video wall for PNU

SAUDI ARABIA: Al Matbouli Sound and Communications has completed a Christie video wall approval and partial installation at Princess Noura University for Women (PNU) in Riyadh – the largest university for women in the Kingdom.
The system is based around eight 50-inch units of Christie’s Entero RPMSP-LED01 SXGA+ DLP LED rear screen tilting projector arranged in a four wide by two high array, along with a Christie TVC-1210 video wall processor and Extron DVI inputs. For Al Matbouli, the most important issue in selecting Christie for the project was the lamp life of the projectors. ‘Really it had to be a zero maintenance solution,’ explained executive manager Eng. Atef Matbouli. ‘Christie is the first company to offer this solution, it can operate 24/7 for 60,000 hours, meaning operation for six years without any maintenance or troubleshooting from the supplier. This saves on both manpower and cost.’
A further part of the project came on the IT side, where Al Matbouli needed to control eight workstations from one PC. To meet this challenge it opted for Raritan’s Paragon II KVM switch which enables the user to control, view and display any workstation from one PC.
