Cimatech installs DIS at JAM

IRAN: Cimatech has installed a DIS conferencing system to JAM Petrochemical’s new meeting room in its main Tehran office. The customer chose the manufacturer’s DCS6000 system after reviewing available options on the market.
This system consists of 26 DC 6190P delegate units plus a pair of DC 6990P touch screen units. The system has been designed with the ability to add interpretation units and also features video tracking with two sets of Sony EVI-D70s.
‘Their idea was to choose a European brand, and when they surveyed the market they found DIS customers were satisfied with its quality and features,’ explained Cimatech managing director Amir Kord. ‘They are happy with the DIS system. Although now they feel that it would have been better if they chose HD cameras for video tracking instead of SD Cameras.’
According to Mr Kord, the DIS solution was suitable for the project because ‘they need to hear to all delegates in a meeting clearly and also record both voice and video of meetings. DIS could give them the best solutions.’
The main challenge with the project was that the decoration for the room was already in place before the conferencing system had been installed. ‘It needed a lot of attention to prevent any damage to the decoration,’ said Mr Kord. ‘This took lots of time for our installation team. But finally we were happy that the job was done perfectly.’
