Club Sapphire weatherproofs with One Systems

TURKEY: Akhan SES Isik Ve Gorsel Sistemler Tic recently designed and installed a One Systems sound reinforcement system into Club Sapphire in Gümbet in Mugla province, Turkey.
With a capacity of over 2,000, Club Sapphire boasts a range of live shows, offering an outdoor space that is complete with lighting, leather seating, multiple bars, a large DJ booth and a dance floor.
Due to the club’s proximity to the Aegean Sea, the goal of the installation was to install completely weatherproof speakers that could handle the hot weather and humid sea air. Secondly, the goal of management was to ensure that the sound was ‘perfectly detailed, so that their patrons can experience every word, note and beat of the music’.
‘One Systems is the only real weatherproof speaker line in the world that offers outstanding intelligibility and full-bandwidth audio,’ said Haluk Akgun, managing director of Akhan SES. ‘Their full line of speakers is unlike any other we have found.’
Each 103IM and 106IM speaker is mounted on the perimeter walls of the club using One Systems PT-10 pan and tilt brackets. In order to maintain even coverage throughout the outdoor club, each speaker location is precisely 3m apart.
‘We have used One Systems speakers before and were very familiar with the installation process, as well as the quality of the speakers,’ added Mr Akgun. ‘The 103IM and 106IM speakers were perfect for the space as they did not dominate the area or appear obtrusive. Once again One Systems speakers did not disappoint and the club is very happy with the finished product.’
