Darwish Technology wins Crowne Plaza IHG contract

QATAR: Darwish Technology’s Professional Electronics Division will provide the A/V system for the conference building, hotel building and apartments at the Crowne Plaza (IHG) Trans Orient Hotel and Business Park in Doha.

For the conference centre, the ground floor conference Hall will be equipped with a Draper projector screen and Christie HD 10K projector recessed inside the ceiling with a scissor lift. The audio will be through the Bose ceiling speakers. For special events where high quality sound with more bass is required, the hall will have provisions for connecting JBL full range speakers and subwoofers. Panasonic ceiling mounted cameras will be used for live monitoring and recording. The conference hall will also feature a Polycom HD video conferencing system consisting of the podium mic, DVD player, document camera and laptop connectivity.

The same equipment will be used for conferencing facilities on the first and second floors. These halls will be able to be used as a single room or split in two. As such, they will require double the volume of equipment as the ground floor hall.

Each floor will have a dedicated rack room which can be connected to allow all three rooms to be used for the same event. Control in each hall will be via AMX touchscreens.

For the hotel, the company will provide A/V solutions to a number of areas. The Brazilian restaurant, lounge bar, all day restaurant, pool deck, executive lounge, and lobbieswill all be equipped with Bose Ceiling and wall mount speakers for the BGM, while Apart outdoor rock speakers will be used for external areas. The control of the system for all the areas will be done with AMX and Biamp is to be used for signal processing .The company has selected wired and wireless microphones used from Sennheiser. The visual part will include Sony LCD and LED TVs and weather proof TVs from Sunbrite. The gym and spa will again feature Bose ceiling speakers and have source selector and volume control from Biamp.

Each of the six meeting rooms will be equipped with a Christie projector, Draper screens and projector lifts. There will also be a DVD player along with two floor boxes for laptop and mic connectivity. All the meeting rooms will be controlled from a central equipment rack and each will have wired and wireless AMX touch screens for the control of A/V equipment and lights.

The entrance of each meeting room will be provided with digital signage for displaying the room programme and Polycom HD video conferencing will be provided in a mobile cart, so that it can be used in any of the meeting rooms. The board room will have a similar setup with Sony LCD, Polycom HD video conferencing, Sennheiser microphones and AMX touch screen as well as digital signage.

The company is also providing a portable audio conferencing system from Beyerdynamic and a portable assistive listening system from Listentech which can be used in the conference or hotel meeting rooms.
