Delta Sound completes first install at Muse Club

‘I opted for L-Acoustics because of the intelligibility,’ said freelance sound technician Jun Bleza. ‘The owner Marco Chu did some research into the top clubs in China and found out that some of them use L-Acoustics too.’

The decision to select Delta Sound for its first installation project came from the decision to fit the speakers. ‘I chose Delta Sound since I know Andy Jackson is the only authorised L-Acoustics sound engineer in the UAE or Mena Region,’ explained Mr Bleza. ‘The company has a good track record of doing the best of the best shows in the UAE. Also, I know their current crop of engineers is the best of the best in the region.’

Four ARCS II plus eight SB18 subs make up the main system for Muse. Added to this there are a dozen 12XTs for distributed sound while the VIP Room is covered by a pair of 8XTs two SB15P subs for low end. Power for the system is via four LA8 and two LA4 amplifiers with processing from a BSS BLU-160.

In addition to this, the DJs are currently using four Pioneer CDJ 2000 and DJM800 mixers and four Sennhieser 2000 Series Microphones. There are 12 Samsung 42-inch TFT screens in the main hall plus four Samsung 42-inch screens on the left wing as well as a Samsung 55-inch LED TV for the VIP Room. The lights comprise 22 Acme 250 spot moving heads, 16 Acme 250 wash moving heads, 12 Acme Spots moving heads as well as ambient lighting and smoke machines. The lighting controller is an Avolites Pearl 2010.

It took one month for the complete A/V system to be installed, and Mr Bleza is certainly happy with the end result. ‘We did not make a mistake when we chose L-Acoustics, the clarity and even coverage of the sound for the whole club is just phenomenal,’ he enthused. ‘The VIP room customers fall in love with their voice when they use the L-Acoustics 8XTs for karaoke. The microphone sounds so natural and clear.’
