Delta Sound covers UAE National Day

UAE: Dubai-based rental company Delta Sound provided the audio equipment for the 41st UAE National Day celebration concert in Dubai. HQ Creative produced the event, which was delayed by two days because of the rain storms throughout the Emirates. The company used equipment from L-Acoustics, Avid and Clear-Com to cover the event.
For the show, Delta Sound once again turned to its new L-Acoustics K1 system. The left-centre-right clusters formed part of a 5.1 surround sound system for the event with eight of the manufacturer’s XT115 Hi Q cabinets being used for the rear speakers. Kara cabinets were added to the left and right hangs to act as downfills.
The system was run through ProTools HD with control via an Avid Venue console. There was also a large Clear-Com Matrix system put to use for the comms.
Despite the poor weather, the system reportedly performed well and Delta Sound managing director Andy Jackson was very happy with the event. ‘It was my first chance to use the K1 since we purchased the system,’ he explained. ‘It was great to have play with K1 from a system point of view. It also showed the versatility of the product.’
