UAE: Delta Sound recently provided the sound system for the grand opening party of the Hard Rock Cafe’s new branch in Dubai Festival City.
The Hard Rock Cafe’s Nada Hayati approached Delta Sound for the project, which saw the company provide a PA system and additional monitor rig for various speeches and for the opening ceremony performance by house band Shine.
The monitor rig comprised 10 Audio Analysts wedges powered by Crown amplifiers and a four-way Sennheiser IEM system to compliment the installed house equipment based around Tannoy loudspeakers, both active self-powered and passive devices, the latter being driven by Lab.gruppen C Series installation amplifiers. A DiGiCo SD9 console was used to mix FOH sound and the monitors for headline act Bananarama, and the band’s Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward utilised Shure Beta 87A wireless condenser vocal microphones.
