Delta Sound sees comms benefits

UAE: Dubai-based rental company Delta Sound, is seeing the benefits of its recent investment in comms equipment. ‘We’re investing a lot in comms, I think that is the next big thing for us to get involved in,’ confirmed Delta Sound’s Andy Jackson. ‘We’ve now got a lot of interfacing into Motorola two-way radios. For me that’s quite exciting.’
This was an area of the local rental industry where the company saw an opportunity and has since seen good returns. ‘I don’t think anyone else was really doing it,’ explained Mr Jackson. ‘People would come in and do it. Delta from the UK would come in as the comms specialists, but I think to have the kit on the ground is a big part of it all.
‘We started doing some very big comms jobs like Meydan, Al Jazeera Stadium with Timbaland and a few other artists at the beginning of June,’ continued Mr Jackson. ‘We’ll certainly be pushing the comms side of things.’
