Desert Beat takes on Presonus

UAE: Desert Beat Trading LLC has been named as the official distributor for Presonus in the UAE. The distributor was reportedly looking to take on the brand following increased demand for the kind of products it produces.
‘We realised that there is a genuine need for easier, more affordable and high quality products that can serve that market and we started researching different brands,’ explained Desert Beat managing director Jamal Sirhi. ‘That is when we discovered Presonus, an ambitious brand that is moving in the same direction we are and it offers a great DAW software in Studio One that was easy to introduce to our customers, in addition to the gear that caters to home studio users, small studio users, medium, on the road, live, major studios, rental companies and more. It was the perfect brand for us and we worked very hard to earn the right to distribute Presonus in the UAE.’
Following its appointment, the distributor is looking to grow the brand’s market share in the UAE. One of the primary ways it will achieve this is through awareness programmes. ‘We recently started an awareness campaign that will target different schools, institutes and academies through which we will show the young talents in our region who want to take their singing or playing a guitar or even voice over part-time job to the next level how easy and affordable it is to record in their own houses,’ said Mr Sirhi. ‘Our team is also conducting daily visits to different resellers and providing on the spot training or demo sessions for their teams. We hope to capture a huge market share by the end of this year.’
The managing director believes the functionality of Presonus’ products will offer a big advantage to Desrt Beat’s customers and highlights the support offered by the manufacturer as a key element. He equally believes the new distributor will be able to offer a number of advantages to Presonus.
‘What we bring to Presonus is the expertise that other companies do not carry in our field,’ he reasoned. ‘We can introduce Presonus to the region in the right way and work with all the small to medium resellers at great lengths in promoting Presonus to the consumers and prosumers. This will also pave the way for us to introduce Presonus to the large sector markets gradually.’
