DIS receives first Middle East DDS 5900 order

SAUDI ARABIA: Following its launch at ISE in Amsterdam, Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) has received its first Middle Eastern order for the new DDS 5900. The digital discussion system was ordered by aDawliah Electronic Appliances in Saudi Arabia.

The order includes more than 100 pieces of the DC 5980P discussion unit which can be configured for delegate, chairman or interpretation uses. On top of this, DIS will deliver six CU 5905 control units which are equipped with features including encryption, voice activation (VOX) and a web-interface as standard. The latter allows the whole discussion system to be controlled from a web browser without installing any additional software. Added to this, the LAN-port can also be used for connecting external devices for functions such as camera control.

‘DDS 5900 is a very simple and flexible system which has to be available in Saudi Arabia from day one,’ said DIS area sales manager Chris Hellmuth. ‘aDawliah is a great company which has understood our concept and strategy behind this product line. With their experience in selling Shure Conference 1 in earlier times we’re convinced that aDawliah has the necessary know-how and contacts to sell DDS 5900 into the right channels.’
