DIS supplies Civil and Commercial Court in Qatar

QATAR: Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) and Techno Q have completed an installation at the Civil and Commercial Court in the Qatar Financial Center. While it is not a large system that has been installed, the status of the court makes it an important and valuable reference project for the companies.
The idea of the institution is to provide the courtroom for specific international court cases which need to be discussed and decided on neutral ground. For example, a recent international cricket bribery scandal has been handled at this location by a team of international lawyers and judges.
The system for the court, which took a month to install, consists of 10 DC 6190P conference units, two IS 6132P interpretation desks and an SW 6000 software package. Ahmed Abouzoor, site engineer for systems integrator Techno Q is very proud of this installation where he worked with DIS products for the first time. ‘This has been a very time critical project and luckily we could finish the installation just in time. The client was pushing me to finish as soon as possible, because there were cases and they wanted to use the system,’ he explained. ‘It’s a very big reference to me, because it’s my first time to do a full A/V system solution for a court, but finally we did it. The customer is really happy with the system and we’re working already on various other projects in Qatar where we’ll quote DIS again.’
‘Big and important decisions are made in this room and Al-Jazeera has already broadcast images with our conference units in the picture to the entire world,’ added DIS area sales manager Chris Hellmuth.
