LEBANON: The Crystal Festival held in early July at Beirut’s La Marina Joseph Khoury was lit up spots and beams from Italian manufacturer, DTS. These were leased by Triangle Sound & Image, the Lebanese distributor for the brand, to Charbel Lights.
The dance festival saw performances from some of the world’s top DJs including a first performance in the country by Sander Van Doorn and French trance vocalist Nadia Ali, who performed live with the star acts. The headline act saw a return to the country as part of his Kaleidoscope tour for DJ Tiësto who kept the 6,000-strong crowd going until 7am.
The concert production for DJ Tiësto’s Kaleidoscope tour is an extremely visual setup, requiring lasers, high-quality images and lighting stunts. To cover this, Charbel Lights owner, Charbel Chamoun, opted for 18 1.2kW XM1200EB spots and 12 of DTS’ latest XR2000 beams.
