DMI selects Cloud4Media for digital delivery

UAE: Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) has agreed to acquire a digital delivery solution from media asset management specialist, Arkena France, as part of its drive towards a fully automated and tapeless content acquisition workflow. The Cloud4Media solution will allow DMI to send and receive digital content across a ‘highly secure professional platform’, ensuring cross-department usage and editing of the content before airing.

‘Moving forward with Arkena is a great step towards improving our content exchange with our partners,’ commented Saleh Lootah, head of TV and radio engineering at DMI. ‘Having such a network connected on the Arkena platform makes the decision easier for us. Choosing Arkena as a trusted partner was evident as a result of a long-standing support and a very good understanding of our needs.’

‘Arkena is delighted to work alongside DMI in its digital move,’ added Samir Zehani, MENA markets manager at Arkena. ‘It is a major challenge for a MENA broadcaster to automate its content logistics. We intend to create a DMI ecosystem that connects all the partners involved in the content processing, such as Tier 1 Studios, post-production labs and broadcasters. Recent announcements on piracy issues have confirmed that Arkena is the best choice for a secure and fast content-delivery solution.’
