DWR Distribution family gains two new additions

SOUTH AFRICA: DWR Distribution has welcomed two new hires aboard in JP de Vernon and Kevin Stannett. Mr de Vernon replaces Johnny Scholtz as sales representative for Africa, handling architectural sales. Mr Stannett, meanwhile, joins to take over from Dave Whitehouse, who is leaving DWR Distribution to relocate back to the UK, in looking after sales for theatres, schools, broadcasters, television studios and casinos.
The two new staff members are familiar with each other, having worked together four years ago at the hotel and casino resort, Emperors Palace. Mr Stannett was onsite as a freelance lighting designer, while Mr de Vernon served as the theatre services manager at the time.
‘When we worked together we always did things proper,’ said Mr de Vernon. ‘Between the two of us, there’s pretty much not a solution we can’t come up with. It’s what we’ve always just done.’
‘That these guys chose DWR to be their place is important for me and it’s an honour to have them,’ revealed Mr Riley. ‘I think it’s the right move for everyone and we will all benefit.’
