MIDDLE EAST: Fibre-optics specialist Bluebell Opticom Ltd has appointed EMEA Gateway to help it penetrate the Middle Eastern market. Described as a sales and marketing outsourcing company for the broadcast and media industry, EMEA Gateway will now be responsible for developing and managing sales channels for Bluebell products throughout the region.
Established in 1994 and based in the UK, Bluebell Opticom describes itself as a specialist in ‘point-to-point’ fibre technology for the broadcast television sector. EMEA Gateway is also UK-based, but reportedly boasts a network of sales channels in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The company will now act as Bluebell's Middle Eastern sales and support office.
‘The Middle Eastern market is growing, especially as media companies transition from SDI- to IP-based infrastructures, so now is an ideal time to build a stronger presence in the region,’ said Paul McCann, managing director of Bluebell Opticom. ‘EMEA Gateway's industry expertise, along with its local knowledge and reseller network, will go a long way towards expanding our reach and driving sales in the Middle East. At the same time, we'll be able to serve our many existing Middle Eastern customers more effectively.’
