Festival Sound invests in L-Acoustics

SOUTH AFRICA: Pretoria-based rental house, Festival Sound, has added to its inventory with the purchase of an L-Acoustics Arcs system. The sale was made through the manufacturer’s local distributor, Sound Harmonics.

‘We introduced Kara to the owner, Petru Palmer, and he got to mix shows on the system and over time fell in love with it,’ explained Sound Harmonics managing director, Richard Smith. ‘When we looked at his current needs, we decided Arcs would be a better starting point and again let him take a system out on shows and he, his staff and clients fell in love with the system.’

Following these trial periods, Festival Sound decided to invest in a pair of Arcs Wide and two SB18m. This will reportedly be expanded over time so the company can offer rigs of two per side then four per side.

‘The Arcs Wide are the best place to start and they give you the most coverage and versatility and can be used as a single enclosure for small shows,’ concluded Mr Smith.
