NIGERIA: Two BXB FCS conference systems have been installed at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA). The systems were installed in the university’s senate chamber and the senate council committee by local BXB agent K.C. Chinado Investment Co Ltd.
The larger of the two systems is in the senate chamber. Here one FCS-6051 control unit, one FCS-6015 chairman unit with LCD and voting and 84 FCS-6016 delegate units with LCD and voting make up the core of the system. Equally sourced from BXB were the 85 WM-48B1R gooseneck mics, EPS-C081 extension power supply, PA-5120PQ mixer amplifier and the loudspeakers – five WS-656T box speakers and a further five WS-100T ceiling speakers.
The second system is similar in design, but on a smaller scale. In the senate council committee there is an FCS-6050 control unit, one FCS-6015 chairman unit with LCD and voting and 56 FCS-6016 delegate units with LCD and voting. Added to this are 85 WM-48B1R gooseneck mics and five WS-656T cabinets with a further five WS-100T ceiling speakers.
‘I use BXB FCS-6000 because it’s easy to install and for users, switching to Chairman Mode is very convenient. The chairman only needs to long press the chairman control button,’ explained K.C. Chinado director Chidi Nwoke. ‘Voting results can be displayed in the big screen, facilitating school officers’ voting for important issue. The earphone and record jacks with volume control on each microphone are very practical.’
