Gary Southwell joins Audinate as vice president of product management

WORLD: Audinate has appointed Gary Southwell to the position of vice president of product management.

Audinate stated that ‘Mr Southwell was one of the early pioneers in deploying routing technology’, and brings more than 20 years of experience in product management and technology leadership within the networking industry to his new role.

Prior to joining Audinate, Mr Southwell served as CTO at BTI Systems where he focused on enabling new services and deployment for large-scale packet optical networks and strategic planning of video delivery systems. Prior to BTI, he worked at Juniper Networks as GM of IPTV where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s products into new markets. In addition, Mr Southwell has held various management roles at Nortel Networks and Ciena.

‘I am excited to join Audinate and I have been very impressed with the strong momentum and adoption of Dante to date,’ said Mr Southwell. ‘What’s even more exciting is the enormous potential Dante can bring to enable new A/V networked applications.’
