Gearhouse uses new HD gear for Clapton concert

UAE: Gearhouse Staging Connections used the recent Eric Clapton performance at the Yas Island Arena to showcase the latest additions to its HD stock, as it provided the audio, video and lighting equipment for the show.
For Gearhouse, the highlight of the gig was the opportunity to uses its new Sony HXC100K HD/SD camera system. The company reports its system can be used to provide support on awards shows, concerts, conferences or any productions requiring live High Definition video mixing.
‘The HD camera system really came into its own during the Eric Clapton gig,’ said Lee Worthington, Geahouse’s head of video. ‘Given the fact that the event was held outdoors, we were able to expose the system to the elements and are pleased with the result. The feedback has been great and the cameras delivered a superb image. For us backstage, they were extremely easy to use and simple to set up. The advanced features and user friendly menu options only added to the quality we were able to provide.’
Gearhouse has invested in a system that includes five of the cameras, an HD mixer, a Sony DFS-900M multi-format switcher and 40 HD zoom lenses.
