GEMS Wellington Academy installs Prysm

UAE: A Prysm videowall has been installed at the GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis in Dubai. The Cascade 190 videowall selected for the project creates a 7 sq-m digital canvas in the newly launched Blended Learning Centre, providing students and teachers with collaborative, online and blending learning environments.
‘We pride ourselves on innovation and leadership in education,’ stated GEMS chief executive officer and principal, Michael Gernon. ‘The Blended Learning Plaza provides a truly unique environment for our teachers and students to engage in collaborative learning.’
The wall allows students and teachers at the academy to present, share, reposition, resize, annotate and edit all types of content through on-screen touch, PCs or mobile devices. Multiple, simultaneous live inputs can be displayed and interacted with on screen including video, telepresence and web apps. Furthermore, configurable workspaces allow users to share a Cascade system with other groups, save their work between sessions and pick up where they left off when they next meet.
