GSL hosts certified HiQnet Audio Architect training

UAE: GSL Professional recently hosted a two-day certified HiQnet Audio Architect training course in Dubai. The sessions were led by Justin Hankey, application engineer, networking and installed sound at Harman Professional and attended by some of the region’s top system integrators.
The course is an introduction to Audio Architect, is fully certified by Harman and can be used for InfoComm CTS renewal units. The delegates got hands-on experience from the complete system setup used as part of the training, featuring BSS Audio Soundweb London signal processing and Crown Audio DriveCore Install amplification. The demonstration system also contained a Soundcraft Si Performer desk and JBL AC16 and SRX 812P speakers.
In addition to the course, GSL’s technical executive, Georgi Hristov, gave an overview on some new releases from Harman shipping later in the year. This included the Blu-103 with VoIP solution, Blu-Dan, Soundweb Contrio enabled HiQnet controllers and the Soundweb Contrio Server with a new function of scripting logic objects and integrated Media Engine. Mr Hristov also discussed the current Blu series detailing configurable I/O and fixed I/O, as well as digital audio protocols including AVB, Blu-link, CobraNet and Dante.
