GSL sees Vista 1 success

UAE: GSL Professional has found a large amount of recent success with Studer’s Vista 1 console. Two broadcasters on the region have recently added the desk to their operations.
MBC has taken two of the consoles for channels in Dubai and Egypt. Children’s channel MBC 3 and MBC Egypt have both opted for the 32-fader Vista 1. The sale came following the Cabsat broadcast exhibition and both consoles have been delivered. ‘We had them in stock so they were delivered the following day,’ said GSL sales manager Glen Kershaw. ‘MBC were incredibly appreciative.’
The second Vista 1 sale comes at Sharjah TV. The broadcaster was already using the 32-fader desk at its new studio facilities, and this second purchase – a 22-fader console – is for its OB van.
‘Everything is great on the broadcast side. It’s very busy for us,’ said Mr Kershaw. ‘I think it’s come to that time in the studio lifecycle where everyone is looking at refreshing. It’s very strong and it is a huge market within the region.’
