IAC Qatar hosts Avid training

QATAR: IAC Qatar recently hosted an Avid training session in Doha. Avid Solutions Specialists, Chris Lambrechts and Sreejesh Nair provided an in-depth look at the S3L system as well as the latest developments in Pro Tools. The seminar was the first of a series that IAC Qatar will present to help local professionals learn more about the manufacturer’s products.
The event was attended by around 25 people whose background varied from broadcast engineers to CTOs, and freelance music producers to studio engineers. According to Avid, ‘the response was great with very interesting questions and a lot of interest on the S3L and Venue software V4.5. Along with a lot of interest in Pro Tools and HDX and HD Native’.
According to the manufacturer, attendees were very impressed by what the S3L can achieve, particularly its gain tracking and stage sharing capabilities. Attendees were also reportedly impressed by what the S3L can do with the new Venue software 4.5, and all agreed that the size and the flexibility is one of the most interesting features.
