Intersec presents an opportunity for audio

UAE: There are plenty of new solutions from the A/V market at Intersec 2015, but these are found more often than not on the visual side. The large exhibition and busy halls highlight the popularity of this show within the regional security sector. But the lack of PA/VA systems on show present an opportunity for manufacturers to be the major solution presented to a range of end-users.

From the A/V companies participating at the event, the major solutions on show are the high image quality camera systems. The likes of Christie, Mitsubishi Electric, Canon and Panasonic all have a variety of imaging options for CCTV on their booths. Sony has equally focused on this side and presented its 4K offerings to the market.

Bosch Security Systems are one of the few companies where you can find audio equipment on display. While CCTV is again a major component of the manufacturer’s booth, there is also space for a variety of speaker options to be displayed from several brands under the Bosch umbrella.

Away from the security and access control sections of the exhibition, Ateïs has taken a large presence in the fire safety zone. Here the company is promoting its Velox fire safety system which integrates with the manufacturer’s PA/VA solution.

The show is clearly creating interest in the audio community. Several visitors from pro A/V companies had come to the show to see if it is worth taking part in 2016. Whether they decide to or not, the show presents an opportunity for PA/VA providers to target exactly the right market.
