Jeff Dunham’s Disorderly Conduct hits Abu Dhabi

UAE: The two-day Abu Dhabi leg of Jeff Dunham’s Disorderly Conduct world tour saw standing ovations for the US comedian and ventriloquist at Yas Island’s du Forum. Promoter Flash Entertainment called on equipment from SLS and Delta Sound to cover the event.
Fans of the comedian were treated to grumpy banter with Walter, the naïve red-neck remarks of Bubba J, the sarcastic humour of Little Jeff and the beloved Peanut’s narcisstic comments. Jose the Jalapeno and the Loser closed off the night of comedy.
Delta Sound turned to its stock of L-Acoustics cabinets to provide the audio. The main PA consisted of 16 Kudo cabinets with low end from eight SB28. Four MTD112s were put to use for monitors. Power for the system came from LA8 and LA24 amplifiers. Mixing duties fell to an Avid D Show Profile console.
A Clear-Com intercom system was also called into action for the show along with beyerdynamic headsets. An MS-232 master station with 10 RS501 beltpacks met the needs of the show and was used with six DT108 headsets and four DT109 units.
The wireless mic solution was courtesy of Shure and featured a UR4D receiver, a pair of UR2 Beta 58A hand held transmitters, a UA 845 UHF DA distribution system and two UA870WB active paddle antennas.
SLS was called in to provide the video and lighting equipment. For the video side, the production house supplied three Sanyo projectors – one 15k and two 8k firing onto 6m x 4m and 4m x 3m screens respectively. A pair of Sony DSR 400 cameras were mixed on a Panasonic mixer to provide the visuals.
Lighting saw a combination of Clay Paky’s moving head and Sharpy fixtures along with Cyclops and Molefay elements all controlled via a Grand MA 2 full size console.
