JR Studio upgrades to Pro Tools HDX

UAE: Dubai’s JR Studio had upgraded its Pro Tools system to HDX. JR Studio is a division of Studio City-based Jamal Records and works closely with a number of international engineers and performers, including Yusuf Islam.
The studio has been using Pro Tools HD since 2006, starting with a Pro Tools HD1 rig before purchasing a Pro Tools HD3. Both systems and the new addition were purchased from local distributor Mediacast. The studio reportedly purchased the Pro Tools HDX because it wanted a fast, stable platform to be available for the studio and its clients using software and hardware that it was familiar with.
‘For a studio of this nature, upgrading to HDX was a great choice,’ said Mediacast’s Simon Short. ‘The new features, and increased processing speeds provided by the new HDX upgrade, allow JR to explore their projects in depth, especially when it comes to the large projects which they are acquiring.’
