K-array gives Taiga its roar

LEBANON: Taiga Beirut has opened its doors with a sound system from K-array. The owner of the chain has worked with the team at Prolites for a number of projects and once again turned to the distributor to supply the club’s audio, video and lighting systems.
Live performances form a major part of Taiga’s offering and the club puts a major emphasis on the quality of its sound system. As such, it tested a number of options before deciding to install the offering from K-array. The solution selected is based around the Italian manufacturer’s KH2SYS6 line array. This is supplemented by six KX12 12-inch coaxial speakers while two pairs of KMT21 and KMT18 subs take care of the low frequencies.
‘The speaker system’s unique size to power ratio, its slick, compact design, in addition to the clear powerful sound made it a clear choice,’ said Georges Germanos, technical manager at Prolites, who specified and commissioned the system.
On the lighting and video side, Prolites supplied a curved LED wall controlled by Madrix software for pixel mapping, a 24 sq-m high resolution LED screen, CPX 91-MZ LED and CL-200B-E beam moving heads and strobes from Cyclops Lighting, Philips Strand SD6 dimmers and Avolites Quartz lighting control consoles.
