Kitaro uses new Foujan system

IRAN: Foujan’s new line array system was put to use for the recent Kitaro concert with the Tehran Orchestra at The Country Grand Hall. The concert saw two stacks of K8 mid-high cabinets and KB18 subs used as in-fills in part of a larger system.
The stacks each comprised four K8 8-inch cabinets with two KB18 single 18-inch subs. Putting them through their paces for the Kitaro performance was 2015 Grammy Nominated engineer, Michael Wilson.
‘I found the loudspeaker system to have a very high build quality, with top-of-the-line materials, fit and finish. The boxes seem quite rigid,’ noted Mr Wilson. ‘In terms of performance, I found the high end response rather flat and natural and not at all hyped or artificial. Mid and low frequencies were quite efficiently reproduced and did require a bit of attenuation and equalisation. This was mainly accomplished with the simple laptop controlled software that accompanies the system.
‘Overall, my impressions were of balanced and programmable sonic performance, with high quality construction, and excellent attention to detail down to the hanging/mounting hardware, and rugged scratch resistant finish,’ he continued. ‘The loudspeakers were used as three-way in-fills, ground stacked in a 3,000 capacity concert hall. I will look forward to using the speakers again as a main speaker system where I can put them more to the test.’
