L-Acoustics sees Turkish success

TURKEY: Elit Sound/Light Technologies has seen recent success with a number of bars in Turkey opting for an L-Acoustics sound system. The distributor has recently supplied venues in Bodrum, Çeşme, Antalya and Istanbul.
The first two projects in Bodrum and Çeşme are both for Babylon. At Bodrum’s Mandarin Oriental hotel there are two L-Acoustics equipped venues – Juju By Babylon Beaches and Juju Bar @ M2. The beach club has two piers which have both been equipped with four 5XT cabinets with an SB15m sub and powered by an LA4 amp. Juju Bar @ M2 sees three Arcs Wide and a pair of 8XTi cabinets supplemented by two SB18i subs with power from a pair of LA4X amps.
Further up the coast, Babylon Çeşme has also opted for an L-Acoustics setup. This venue is using 10 8XT cabinets as well as four 5XT speakers. Low end is via six SB18 subs and power is from three LA4 amps.
Away from Babylon’s venues, Qis Beach Club at the Maxx Royal Hotel Belek in Antalya is another venue to opt for the French manufacturer’s products. The system here is somewhat larger, consisting of 14 5XTs and three 12XTi cabinets. Low frequency extension comes via a combination of two SB18i and four SB15m subwoofers. The system is powered by a pair of LA4 amplifiers alongside an LA8 unit.
Finally, in the Karaköy district of Istanbul bistro/pub Gaspar has been equipped with a full L-Acoustics sound system. The venue is a restaurant during the day, but after 11pm it turns into a bar/lounge set up with DJs playing hip-hop and indie music. The system Elit supplied consists of six 8XTi, four 5XT and a single 108P. Low end is handled by an SB18i and an SB15m while power is from a pair of LA4 amplifiers.
