Lass Pro Sound installs NRT2

IRAQ: Lass Pro Sound has installed a new audio system for Kurdish television channel NRT2. The project has seen equipment from dbx, Lexicon, Sennheiser, Shure and Allen & Heath installed at the studios.

NRT2 is an Iraqi Kurdish television network launched in early 2013. It is owned by Nalia Co, an Iraqui real estate and investments company, which also owns sister station NRT1. Originally consisting exclusively of classic television shows, the network now airs a combination of classic television shows, full episodes, newer shows, music videos, original productions and films.

The heart of the new installation is an Allen & Heath ML5000 mixing console which has been installed in the control room. Further to this, Lass Pro Sound has equipped NRT2 with four 4 dbx 1231 graphic EQs, four of the manufacturer’s 1046 quad compressor limiters, a pair of  multi-effect Lexicon PCM 92s and a further two Lexicon mx400 dual stereo surround reverbs.

Away from the rack, Lass Pro Sound has also supplied NRT2 with wireless microphone and IEM systems. The broadcaster now has six Shure ULXD 4 wireless receivers, eight Sennheiser EW 300 G3 wireless receivers and eight Sennheiser EW300 IEM transmitters with eight receivers.
