Laurel Moore chooses Primacoustic

QATAR: Award-winning jazz singer and saxophonist, Laurel Moore, has equipped her recording room with a 38-panel London 16 Room Kit and Nimbus Acoustic Cloud from Primacoustic. The purchase was made through local distributor Melody House Musical Instruments.

‘I really liked that fact that it came as a “kit” - ready to use, with advice on hand to install it to suit my individual requirements,’ said Ms Moore. ‘After giving my room dimensions with photos to the Melody House and Primacoustic team, a design was done to gain the best acoustic sound possible for my specific room. So I installed the panels based on the diagrams I received.’

Ms Moore was looking for an acoustic solution that could improve the acoustic response of her room in as natural a way as possible in order to complement her vocals and tenor saxophone. The Primacoustic solution was designed to attenuate ambient noise and control low, mid and high frequency reflections.

‘I do recommend Primacoustic,’ stated Ms Moore. ‘The quality of the panels is excellent. The weight of them is good, without being worrisomely heavy if they fell. I also found that the smaller and lighter scatter diffusors could be installed using a “no nails” system. But most importantly, the sound improvement is great! I’ve just begun testing my recordings and there is a big improvement with my “before” and “after”. Mostly, what I love is that I can now hear my voice and saxophone clearly in a recording, without all sorts of flutter echoes and reverbs bouncing the sound around. The result is a much softer and more pleasing sound.’
