Lebanon gets first large-scale L-Acoustics system

LEBANON: Beirut-based rental house, Blue Sound, has become the first company in Lebanon to invest in a large-scale system from L-Acoustics. Blue Sound has added a K2 solution to its inventory, purchased through local distributor Less dB.
The need for a new system came from the size of the productions the rental house was working on. Blue Sound already owns a Kara rig from the French manufacturer, so it was a natural progression to add the new larger format solution.
‘I am delighted to see our first large-format system sold into the busy Lebanese rental market,’ said L-Acoustics’ sales manager, Peter Owen. ‘K2 has proved to be very popular throughout the Middle East and a number of our established rental partners have upgraded their existing V-Dosc systems. Blue Sound is a significant addition to the list of regional K2 users, and with their existing Kara system they now have a solution capable of covering the biggest concerts in the country.’
The new 24-cabinet system will get its first use for the One Lebanon Concert scheduled for early May.
