LEBANON: Beirut-based production company Loud N Clear has supplied the audio equipment for two recent concerts in Beirut. Both events called on the company’s stock of Martin Audio cabinets for the PA.
The first gig was A State of Trance 600 which saw six DJs take to the stage at Forum de Beirut. The main challenge for Loud N Clear was to cover the 100m x 100m dancefloor that could cater for 20,000 people.
To do this Loud N Clear used 24 Martin Audio Long Bow cabinets for the main LR hangs. Added to this were 16 W8L as out fills, 12 W8LC to cover the left and right VVIP section, and 8 W8LM for down fill. The delay setup saw 32 W8LCs put to use with four hangs of eight cabinets. Low end was catered for by 48 S218s.
Power for the system came from 50 Lab.gruppen FP10000Qs, while 14 XTA DP448 processors were also in use. A Midas Pro9 was used for mixing duties at FOH as well as the live broadcast feed.
The second event saw a different musical genre for the company to cover. Les Annees Bonheur 2 at Biel Beirut saw eight French super stars from the ‘70s and ‘80s take to the stage to perform to a crowd of 4,000.
To cover this concert, Loud N Clear supplied 24 W8LC left and right along with 12 S218. Eight W8LM were put to use for down fill with a further eight used as side fill. Completing the speaker line up were Martin Audio’s LE400 wedge monitors.
The system was once again powered by Lab.gruppen amps and processed by XTA DP448s. Control for this concert was courtesy of Yamaha consoles with a PM5D at FOH and an M7CL for monitors.
