Maestra Dubai upsizes

UAE: Maestra’s Dubai-based team, led by Tom Clements, has continued to expand due to a constant flow of business. To house the team, which currently comprises 18 full time staff members with more set to join, as well as the additional sound, lighting, rigging and video equipment that it has recently invested in, Maestra Dubai has relocated to a new warehouse facility in the Dubai Investment Park (DIP) area.

The new facility effectively doubles the rental company’s workspace, providing extra room to streamline its processes. ‘Dedicated prep bays will assist in the overall speed and efficiency at which we can put productions out the door, which will make a huge difference to the practical day-to-day operations,’ explained Mr Clements. ‘We’re also still right in the commercial centre of the city with excellent transport access and all the other advantages of a prime business location.’ Mr Clements also noted that a new warehouse manager would be hired shortly.

Included within the new building are clean, climate and environmentally controlled areas that will enable the servicing and storage of sensitive equipment and materials, as well as providing the ability to create mock-ups of technical scenarios and the delivery of client demonstrations. The offices are reportedly spacious and, along with the meeting rooms, are connected via high-speed communications to the company’s Dubai headquarters in Dubai’s Design District and the London headquarters.

In other news, with both Maestra’s Dubai and London operations keeping busy, the group as a whole has invested in and rolled out a new asset management system from inspHire as it aims to ‘further refine the workflow and the dynamic interaction between the two companies’.
