Majida al-Roumi uses Venue Profile desk in Lebanon

LEBANON: The first edition of the Jounieh International Festival got off to a great start at the Fouad Shehab Stadium with a sold out concert by Majida al-Roumi. The concert was mixed on a Venue Profile console provided by Litewave – the company which supplied the concert’s sound system.
Sound engineer Elie Chikhani mixed the show. Prior to this concert, Mr Chikhani had always used a Midas Pro6 for the artist’s performances. This time he reportedly decided to give the Venue a try because of all the good things he had heard about it.
Mr Chickhani only used the desk’s reverb plug-ins as he did not want to venture into anything inserted on the output. Although, he would have tried the Waves and Lexicon plug-in but unfortunately they were not available in the console. He also used a virtual sound check on 48 tracks using an HD3 system that was provide to him by the Avid Pro Audio distributor Electra AV.
