Martin and VTi introduce MLA to the Middle East

UAE: Martin Audio and its local distributor VTi held a series of seminars to introduce The manufacturer’s Multi Cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) to the region. The sessions took place at the du Forum on Abu Dhabi’s Yas island.
The three sessions were aimed at consultants and live sound engineers. Representatives from the manufacturer were joined by members of the VTi team to hold presentations covering Omniline as well as MLA.
The presentations covered the concepts behind both products, how they work and some examples of where they have been put to use. This was followed by demonstrations of both systems with U2 cover band, Vertigo, performing with MLA.
‘It’s been very successful,’ said Martin Audio’s Simon Bull. ‘We have demonstrated MLA around the world, so to bring it to the Middle East was important. I think we have proved what it can do in a challenging room.’
‘We wanted to show MLA in the du Forum because of the acoustic challenges,’ added VTi’s Richard Maunder. ‘I think we have shown that the system can control the room, rather than the other way round.’
