Media Group International continues to expand with new appointments

QATAR: Systems integrator Media Group International (MGI) has announced the appointment of three key personnel in the form of Jim White, Tyrone Donnelly and Jacqulyn Hamilton, all three of whom will be based at MGI’s headquarters in Doha. The appointments are being described by the company as ‘consolidating a period of rapid expansion’ and an indication of its ‘growing importance in the international broadcast industry allowing it to attract the very best talent’.
Formerly known as Salam Media Cast, the company rebranded in February of this year and his since announced a number of new appointments including the August addition of Matthew Perman as business manager. The latest recruits are all described as having ‘extensive experience in their specific areas of operation’.
Formerly with BSkyB, Jim White has joined MGI as solutions architect, working alongside the integrator’s designers, engineers and operations teams. During his tenure at BSkyB, Mr White was responsible for the overall design of Sky’s Broadcast, Campus, and Data Centre networks. He also holds Cisco’s CCIE accreditation and has extensive experience of designing IP networks specifically for broadcast.
Tyrone Donnelly has joined as broadcast solutions architect, having previously worked for companies including BSkyB, Avid and Sony Professional Services Europe. He reportedly boasts ‘extensive knowledge in the creation and delivery of complex broadcast systems’ plus more than 10 years of experience in leading numerous successful multi-million dollar projects. His specialism is sports broadcasting, having delivered production systems and managed content and workflows at the Doha Asian Games and two FIFA World Cups.
Finally, Jacqulyn Hamilton has been named head of global project management, bringing 20 years of experience in program management to her new role. Ms Hamilton previously worked for a number of Fortune 100 international firms while most recently she was the global head of PMO for a Singaporean management consulting firm with offices throughout China and South East Asia.
