MediaCast hosts Blackmagic Design workshop

UAE: MediaCast in association with the New York Film Academy (NYFA) recently hosted a film making workshop in Abu Dhabi. The session, titled Shoot, Edit and Grade in 4K highlighted a workflow using Blackmagic Design products.
‘The UAE, and Abu Dhabi in particular has a growing community of film enthusiasts, and interestingly, along with the professionals there is increasing interest from the independent amateur film-making community. NYFA is a prestigious institution in the country for film making, and working together with them, we realised the importance of delivering professional workshops with the latest products in the market,’ said MediaCast’s Jaffer Sadique. ‘Blackmagic Design’s products have revolutionised the creative video world, with more and more people now able to access high-quality, professional film cameras and postproduction systems. MediaCast believes in training and empowering the community, and as part of this, we constantly conduct workshops and training activities to spread the knowledge and develop the skills of the enthusiasts in the region.’
The workshop attracted around 25 people from a variety of backgrounds and Mr Sadique described it as successful. ‘We measure the success of these events in being able to impart the knowledge and information to the participants. Inspiring people to embark upon a creative journey is a matter of tremendous joy for us, and what better way than allowing people to tell their story through film! The event was very successful for us, both in educating professionals and encouraging enthusiasts to follow their passions,’ he reasoned.
