Meyer Sound offers Middle East seminars

MIDDLE EAST: Meyer Sound has announced it will run seminars in the UAE and Qatar in June. The events are both titled Introduction to System Design and will take place in Dubai from June 14th to 16th and Doha from June 17th to 18th and led by Mauricio Ramirez.

‘We are very excited to have Magu from our education team flying over to the Middle East in June, for another round of Meyer Sound seminars in both Dubai and Doha,’ said Meyer Sound’s Middle East technical support manager, Chris Mead. ‘Education for our customers is something we have always taken very seriously at Meyer Sound, as we realise the importance of great products being installed and optimised correctly, in order to make a great system. The great system cannot happen without the knowledge and understanding of many of the topics we teach in our seminars.’

The seminars will encompass a variety of topics in sound system applications. Practical information on system design and application will be presented in a real-world context to provide useful background. Theory and practice of line arrays will also be discussed, along with the tools for system optimisation, including equalisation, delay, loudspeaker management systems, measurement with the SIM 3 audio analyser, and use of Meyer Sound’s acoustical prediction program MAPP Online Pro. Both seminars will also discuss and demonstrate important concepts pertaining to the use of subwoofers and methods of deployment that obtain optimal coverage and directivity characteristics.

For the Dubai leg of the event there is an optional third day which will allow participants the opportunity to go more in-depth into the topics covered.

People interested in attending the seminars should contact Chris Mead on +971 556 431283 or via email.
