Midas powers Mother of the Nation

UAE: Evolution Events called into action its new Midas Pro X system for the recent Mother of the Nation Festival in Abu Dhabi. The rental house, which operates out of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, made the purchase through the manufacturer’s local distributor, Nicolas Kyvernitis Electronics Enterprises (NMK).
The package acquired by Evolution Events comprises the Pro X control surface along with a Neutron DSP engine, six DL231 active microphone splitter boxes, a DL252 box and a DN9650 network converter. Its first chance to put the system to use was the 10-day event, which took place at Abu Dhabi’s corniche. The Mother of the Nation Festival reportedly required Evolution Events to call on the full capabilities of Midas’ flagship console.
‘Building upon Midas' analogue approach to digital mixing, the Pro X not only meets the demands of channel count but also keeps the console operation seamless across the product line at a great price point,’ said Moswain Antao, Midas brand manager at NMK. ‘With the addition of the Real Time Analyser, Multiband Distortion, Smart Loudness and DeEsser, engineers do not need to depend on third party plugins.’
