Nexo Soundcheck comes to Dubai

UAE: Nexo is bringing its Soundcheck event to Dubai with a two-day programme featuring training and product demonstrations. The event, held in conjunction with regional Nexo distributor VV & Sons, will take place on 24-25 February at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City.
On Tuesday 24th, Nexo’s training manager and concert sound specialist, Val Gilbert, will conduct a one-day ETC1 training seminar. ETC is the manufacturer’s Education, Training and Certification programme, and the ETC1 module covers the fundamentals of Nexo philosophy and technology, from the point-source Alpha Series systems to the flagship STM Series of scalable line array elements. Starting at 9am, the course includes an overview of Nexo’s proprietary processing and amplification, and NS-1 system modelling software, before giving hands-on practical training on the Geo S12 line array.
On Wednesday 25th, Nexo and VV & Sons will host a demonstration of the Geo M6 and the STM M28. The Geo M6 offers an array of configuration possibilities including pole-mounting, wall-mounting, flown array or under-balcony mode. The M620 can also be paired with the Geo M6B low-frequency extension box to handle line array applications in very large rooms.
Added to this, there will be an indoor and outdoor demo of the new STM M28 line array cabinet, the latest addition to Nexo’s flagship STM Series. The small-format line array is 575mm wide, offers 141dB peak SPL, 90-degrees/120-degrees horizontal dispersion and 0-15-degrees splaying angle between modules, this cabinet can reportedly go from a live club PA to a 5,000-capacity festival.
