Optocore shows its flexibility for XYoga Dubai

UAE: Dubai-based rental house, MediaKraft, relied on an extensive Optocore network to deliver the audio to the 12 screen positions for the recent XYoga Dubai event. MediaKraft purchased its Optocore system through local distributor, Thomsun Trading.
The event saw a mass yoga session taking place all along Mohammed Bin Rashid boulevard, stretching from the Address hotel all the way round to the Burj Khalifa. The event featured a main stage where yoga gurus led an hour-long session which was relayed to 12 screens along the street.
‘This was a very nice event that showcased a typical Optocore application,’ said Thomsun’s Alok Ghurde. ‘The 12 locations were each about 135-150m apart and needed audio and video to be distributed in real time to the large screens and the PA. MediaKraft had very little time to prepare and soon realised that Optocore could easily and cost-effectively do what they needed to achieve.‘
‘Optocore was used at each of these 12 locations. We used four Yamaha LS9-32 consoles fitted with the Optocore YG2 cards and the rest of the locations each had an Optocore X6R-FX output device feeding the PA.’ added Santosh Narayanan, head of audio at MediaKraft.
According to Mr Ghurde, the Optocore equipment not only made the event possible, but also meant the setup could be achieved quickly. ‘MediaKraft was very happy, as the setup was super quick and easy,’ he revealed. ‘They laid out the cables and everything was connected and up and running. The event was a big success.’
