Palme Middle East expands for tenth anniversary show

MIDDLE EAST: As Palme Middle East prepares to celebrate its tenth anniversary with the 2012 edition in May, IIR’s new organising team has increased the scale of the show by running the Middle East Event show alongside it.
Exhibition director Richard Brook believes there will be ‘an enormous synergy’ by running the events side by side as professionals from both the corporate (MICE) and concert staging sectors will be attracted.
Looking at the other parallel streams at the show, Mr Brook is keen to stress the importance of the Install-ME portion. ‘While the live event market contributes millions of dollars to the local economy, the A/V integration sector is also enjoying a period of growth right across the GCC,’ he stated. ‘The construction sector is an important one within the Informa events portfolio and we will be using our extensive databases to access those vertical markets.’
At the same time, Palmewill extend its support of the local MI and DJ markets, operating under its traditionalMusac banner. This places the spotlight on the Middle East’s demand for traditional and contemporary musical instruments and DJ tools, from international manufacturers and their regional distributors.
