Park Vision supplies sound for Tom Jones

CYPRUS: Rental company Park Vision recently supplied a sound reinforcement system primarily comprising equipment from Clair Brothers, Avid, Sennheiser and Shure for a Tom Jones concert held at the Rocks Hotel & Casino in Kyrenia, Cyprus.
The audio was specified in Sir Tom Jones’ technical rider, and took three days to install. Lotus Technology-owned Park Vision supplied two Avid Venue D-Show consoles for the performance – one for FOH and one for monitors. For the main FOH PA, eight Clair Brothers i212-I line array elements were deployed per side, supported by two i212 120-degree versions each side. Subs were catered for by 16 iS218-is, in addition to two PLM Dolby digital amp/processing racks. For front-fills, four Clair Brothers 12AM two-way active speakers were specified, as was a 4000 PLM amp/processing rack from the manufacturer.
Meanwhile, four 12AM cabinets with one 4000 PLM rack made up the monitoring section, supported by a Fohhn Audio RS-4 1X18 speaker for low end. In addition to this, a Fohhn Audio FC-7 processor was put to use, as was a Camco DX24 amplifier.
For microphones and beltpacks, a combination of mics from Sennheiser, Shure and AKG were selected. Meanwhile, 10 dbx DB12 active DI boxes and a total of eight from bss were utilised for the performance.
Commenting on what made the Clair Brothers equipment suited to the venue, Lotus Technology’s Oktay Karaşoğlu said: ‘It is suitable for all venues, and installing everything presented no challenges for us’.
